וְלָכֵ֡ן הִנֵּ֣ה אֲדֹנָי֩ מַעֲלֶ֨ה עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אֶת־מֵ֣י הַנָּהָ֗ר הָעֲצוּמִים֙ וְהָ֣רַבִּ֔ים אֶת־מֶ֥לֶךְ אַשּׁ֖וּר וְאֶת־כָּל־כְּבוֹד֑וֹ וְעָלָה֙ עַל־כָּל־אֲפִיקָ֔יו וְהָלַ֖ךְ עַל־כָּל־גְּדוֹתָֽיו׃
eis que o SENHOR fará vir sobre eles <span class="x" onmousemove="Show('perush','Assim como se fazem fortes contra os que são governados pela continuação dos filhos de David, que são comparados ao riacho de Chilôaĥ, como sendo eles um rio forte, terão que suportar águas ainda mais fortes, que é o domínio da Assíria.');" onmouseout="Hide('perush');">as águas do Rio, fortes e impetuosas</span>, isto é, o rei da Assíria<span>, com toda a sua glória; e subirá sobre todos os seus leitos, e transbordará por todas as suas ribanceiras;</span>
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
Therefore, behold, the Lord is bringing, and is causing to ascend upon them, the army of the people, who are many, as the waters of a river, strong and mighty, the king of Assyria, and his army; and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks.
