אֱ֠דַיִן גֻּבְרַיָּ֤א אִלֵּךְ֙ אָֽמְרִ֔ין דִּ֣י לָ֧א נְהַשְׁכַּ֛ח לְדָנִיֵּ֥אל דְּנָ֖ה כָּל־עִלָּ֑א לָהֵ֕ן הַשְׁכַּ֥חְנָֽה עֲל֖וֹהִי בְּדָ֥ת אֱלָהֵֽהּ׃ (ס)
Kaya't sinabi ng mga lalaking ito: “Hindi tayo makatatagpo ng anumang maisusumbong laban kay Daniel na ito, maliban na lamang kung matagpuan natin ito laban sa kanya kaugnay ng batas ng kanyang Diyos.”

but we shall find [a pretext] against him but we shall find a pretext against him through the law of his God if we ask the king to issue some decree to cause him to transgress His law, and he will not fulfill the king’s command; and this is the pretext.
