Komentaryo sa Deuteronomio 2:35: Tze'enah Ure'enah & Rav Hirsch

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“We retained as booty only the cattle” [2:35]. At the war with Sihon, the Israelites loaded up with clothes and cattle. By the war with Og, they did not want to take cattle or garments; it was disgusting to them. However, they took gold and silver and they hacked up the garments and burned them and they chased away the sheep.28Rashi, Deuteronomy, 2:34.

Rav Hirsch
