Komentaryo sa Eclesiastes 9:3: Rashi & Tze'enah Ure'enah

Rashi

The hearts of men are filled with evil. For they say that there is no judgment of retribution for the wicked. Everything is attributed to chance, [benefitting] sometimes the righteous, and sometimes the wicked.

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“This evil” [9:3]. I think that it is bad that God should have the same fate for the righteous and the evildoers. The heart of the person is full of anger. They say that there is no justice, heaven forbid, concerning their life in this world. However, in the next world they will go to Gehenna.125Rashi, Ecclesiastes, 9:3.
