וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ וַיִּֽרְשׁ֣וּ אֹתָ֗הּ וְלֹֽא־שָׁמְע֤וּ בְקוֹלֶ֙ךָ֙ ובתרותך [וּבְתוֹרָתְךָ֣] לֹא־הָלָ֔כוּ אֵת֩ כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוִּ֧יתָה לָהֶ֛ם לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת לֹ֣א עָשׂ֑וּ וַתַּקְרֵ֣א אֹתָ֔ם אֵ֥ת כָּל־הָרָעָ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃
at sila ay pumasok at inangkin nila ito; ngunit hindi sila nakinig sa Iyong tinig, at hindi sila lumakad sa Iyong Torah; wala silang ginawa sa lahat ng iniutos Mo sa kanila na gawin; kaya't pinangyari Mo na dumating sa kanila ang lahat ng kasamaang ito.

“They came and took possession of it” [32:23]. They came and conquered the land and the Israelites did not listen to His commandments. That is why the troubles came upon them.
