Pagkatapos ay inilabas niya ako sa panlabas na bakuran at dinala niya ako sa apat na sulok ng bakuran; at narito, may isang bakuran sa bawat sulok ng bakuran.
The Third Beit HaMikdash
In sections 13 and 14 above, we said that in this section, we would describe the roofless courtyards that are mentioned there. The roofless courtyards were located in interior corners of the courtyard, and not on its exterior corners, as depicted by the composer of the picture of the Second Beis HaMikdash printed in Manitoba.29Tosafos Yom Tov is referring to the Manitoba edition of the Mishnah from 5382 (1622 CE). The illustration accompanies Tractate Middos and was prepared by Rav Moshe Kazis, one of the leading sages of Italian Jewry in that era. This is implied by the verse,30Yechezkel 46:21. “And He took me out to the Outer Courtyard and caused me to pass by the four corners of the courtyard. Behold there was an enclosure31A literal translation of the verse would be, “a courtyard in the corner of the courtyard.” in the corner of the courtyard.” This verse was recited after the prophet had proceeded into the Twenty Cubit Space mentioned above. Thus it is explained that he had proceeded into the Outer Courtyard, and found these four smaller courtyards.
