Kabbalah sa Genesis 49:28: Zohar & Sha'arei Orah

Zohar

saying: “Awaken and sing, ye who dwell in the dust” (Isa. 26, 16). The first edifice of the world (of the pre-resurrection period) will be as refuse in comparison with the second edifice (of the post-resurrection period), for this last will be perfected according to the Divine plan.

Zohar

Those that are worthy will awake to life in the world below, since they have not merited the world above; and those that are not worthy even of this will awaken to shame and everlasting contempt. As the “other side” will pass away from the world (there being no more evil principle or sin), the Holy One will leave these specimens of the past and evil world, who belonged to the stream which issued forth from that side, in order that all the children of the world may, in beholding them, be astonished.

Sha'arei Orah

Our rabbis, of blessed memory, found it necessary to awaken us to this, and therefore informed us of a very important principle when they said,8Talmud Berachot 58a “The earthly kingdom is similar to the heavenly kingdom.” That is, if it is necessary to be careful about all the above matters when entering into the presence of an earthly king of flesh and blood, how much more is this so of a person who enters to greet the face of the King, King of kings, the Holy One, blessed is He, He Who is blessed and exalted.
