Jerusalem Talmud Kilayim
(Lev. 19:19) “[Kilaim cloth] shall not come upon you.” You are permitted to spread it out under you but the Sages said one should not do it lest one thread should be over his flesh49Sifra Qedošim Pereq 4(18), Babli Beẓah 14b. The Babli is much more restrictive and decrees that one may not sit on a kilaim carpet even if the latter is covered by ten layers of unobjectionable material..
Jerusalem Talmud Kilayim
“A person is permitted to plough and draw with all of them.” It is written (Deut. 22:10): “Do not plough with an ox and a donkey together.” (Sifri Deut. 231) You may not plough with an ox and a donkey but you may plough with an ox and a human, a donkey with a human.
Jerusalem Talmud Makkot
MISHNAH: One might plough a single furrow and be liable because of it for eight prohibitions. If one ploughs with an ox and a donkey which had been sanctified for kilaim in a vineyard, in a Sabbatical year, on a holiday, he is a Cohen and a nazir at an impure place50Ploughing with ox and donkey, Deut.22:10. Growing kilaim in a vineyard, Deut.22:9; it makes growth and vines forbidden for all use. Sabbatical year Lev. 25:4 (the verse only forbids sowing). Holiday, Ex.12:16. Cohen in an impure place, Lev. 21:1.. Onias ben Ḥakhinai said, also if he wore kilaim. They told him, this is not of the same category. He told them, neither is the nazir of the same category.
