וַיֹּאמֶר֮ יִתְרוֹ֒ בָּר֣וּךְ יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִצִּ֥יל אֶתְכֶ֛ם מִיַּ֥ד מִצְרַ֖יִם וּמִיַּ֣ד פַּרְעֹ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר הִצִּיל֙ אֶת־הָעָ֔ם מִתַּ֖חַת יַד־מִצְרָֽיִם׃
Sinabi ni Jetro, “Pinagpala ang Walang-Hanggan, na nagligtas sa inyo mula sa kamay ng Egipto at mula sa kamay ni Faraon, na nagligtas sa bayan mula sa ilalim ng kapangyarihan ng Egipto.

R. Johanan said : Because the Scriptures state, "And Jethro said, Blessed be the Lord Who hath delivered you" etc. (Exod. xviii. 10). Do we say a benediction for the miracle wrought on behalf of the many but not for the miracle wrought on behalf of an individual?
