וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ׀ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֗ים הֵ֤ן הָֽאָדָם֙ הָיָה֙ כְּאַחַ֣ד מִמֶּ֔נּוּ לָדַ֖עַת ט֣וֹב וָרָ֑ע וְעַתָּ֣ה ׀ פֶּן־יִשְׁלַ֣ח יָד֗וֹ וְלָקַח֙ גַּ֚ם מֵעֵ֣ץ הַֽחַיִּ֔ים וְאָכַ֖ל וָחַ֥י לְעֹלָֽם׃
At sinabi ng Walang-Hanggang Diyos: “Narito, ang tao ay naging tulad ng isa sa atin, sa pagkaalam ng mabuti at masama; at ngayon, baka iunat niya ang kaniyang kamay at kumuha rin mula sa puno ng buhay at kumain, at mabuhay magpakailanman.”
Genesis
Adonoy Elohim made grow out of the soil every tree that is pleasant to look at, and good for [producing] food; the Tree of Life in the middle of the Garden, and the Tree (of) Knowledge [of what is] good and evil.
