כִּ֣י חֲמַ֤ס לְבָנוֹן֙ יְכַסֶּ֔ךָּ וְשֹׁ֥ד בְּהֵמ֖וֹת יְחִיתַ֑ן מִדְּמֵ֤י אָדָם֙ וַחֲמַס־אֶ֔רֶץ קִרְיָ֖ה וְכָל־יֹ֥שְׁבֵי בָֽהּ׃ (ס)
Sapagkat ang karahasan sa Lebanon ay tatakip sa iyo, at ang pagsalanta sa mga hayop ay dudurog sa kanila, dahil sa dugo ng tao at sa karahasan sa lupain, sa lungsod at sa lahat ng naninirahan doon.

Adonoy said to Moshe, “Go in to Pharaoh for I have hardened his heart and [also] the hearts of his servants, so that I will be able to set [perform] these [miraculous] signs in their midst.
