וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֗ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל שִׂ֥ימוּ אִישׁ־חַרְבּ֖וֹ עַל־יְרֵכ֑וֹ עִבְר֨וּ וָשׁ֜וּבוּ מִשַּׁ֤עַר לָשַׁ֙עַר֙ בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה וְהִרְג֧וּ אִֽישׁ־אֶת־אָחִ֛יו וְאִ֥ישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵ֖הוּ וְאִ֥ישׁ אֶת־קְרֹבֽוֹ׃
Sinabi niya sa kanila: “Ganito ang sabi ng Walang-Hanggan, ang Diyos ng Israel: ‹Ilagay ng bawat isa sa inyo ang kanyang tabak sa kanyang tagiliran, at magparoo't parito kayo mula sa isang tarangkahan hanggang sa kabilang tarangkahan sa kampo, at patayin ng bawat isa ang kanyang kapatid, ang bawat isa ang kanyang kasama, at ang bawat isa ang kanyang kamag-anak.›”
Targum Jonathan
And he said to them, Thus hath said the Lord, the God of Israel, Whosoever hath sacrificed to the idols of the Gentiles, let him be slain with the sword. And now, go, pass through from the gate of the sanhedrin to the gate of the house of judgment, in the camp, and with prayer before the Lord that He will forgive you this sin, take vengeance upon the wicked workers of strange worship and slay, even a man his brother, and a man his companion, and a man his neighbour.
