הֲלֹ֤א כָל־הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ לְפָנֶ֔יךָ הִפָּ֥רֶד נָ֖א מֵעָלָ֑י אִם־הַשְּׂמֹ֣אל וְאֵימִ֔נָה וְאִם־הַיָּמִ֖ין וְאַשְׂמְאִֽילָה׃
Hindi ba't ang buong lupain ay nasa harap mo? Humiwalay ka nga sa akin: kung sa kaliwa ka, ako'y sa kanan; at kung sa kanan ka, ako'y sa kaliwa.”

Is not all the land before thee? Separate then from me. If thou to the north, I to the south: if thou to the south, I to the north.
