וַתֹּ֣אמֶר לֵאָ֗ה נָתַ֤ן אֱלֹהִים֙ שְׂכָרִ֔י אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥תִּי שִׁפְחָתִ֖י לְאִישִׁ֑י וַתִּקְרָ֥א שְׁמ֖וֹ יִשָּׂשכָֽר׃
At sinabi ni Lea: “Ibinigay ng Diyos ang aking gantimpala, sapagkat ibinigay ko ang aking alilang babae sa aking asawa.” At tinawag niya ang kanyang pangalan na Isacar.
Targum Jonathan
And Leah said, The Lord hath given me my reward, for that I gave my handmaid to my husband; even so shall his children receive a good reward, because they will occupy themselves with the law. And she called his name Issakar.
