אין יענעם טאָג איז געקומען די צאָל פֿון די הרוגים אין דער הױפּשטאָט שושַן, פֿאַר דעם מלך.

“The number of this killed on that day” [9:11]. Mordecai was afraid of the king, that he should not be angry. Therefore, Mordecai stopped the killing in the early evening. They had to count the number of dead in the meantime.
