רַ֥ק הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה בָּזַ֣זְנוּ לָ֑נוּ וּשְׁלַ֥ל הֶעָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לָכָֽדְנוּ׃

נאָר די בהמות האָבן מיר גערױבט פֿאַר זיך, און דעם זאַקרױב פֿון די שטעט װאָס מיר האָבן באַצװוּנגען.

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“We retained as booty only the cattle” [2:35]. At the war with Sihon, the Israelites loaded up with clothes and cattle. By the war with Og, they did not want to take cattle or garments; it was disgusting to them. However, they took gold and silver and they hacked up the garments and burned them and they chased away the sheep.28Rashi, Deuteronomy, 2:34.
