King Nebuchadnezzar [says] to all peoples This is the text of the missive: King Nebuchadnezzar greets all peoples.
Ibn Ezra
[Daniel 3:31] King Nebuchadnezzar: Now begins the account of the letter (iggeret) that Nebuchadnezzar wrote to all the peoples dwelling (ha-darin) in all the land of his kingdom. And at the beginning of the writing [he says]: May your well-being abound (שְׁלָמְכוֹן יִשְׂגֵּא - sh'lamkhon yisge) – [The word yisge (abound) means] may it increase (yirbeh). Like [the related word saggi (great/mighty) in the verse]: “Behold, God is great (saggi)” [Job 36:26].
