כִּ֤י נִבְעֲרוּ֙ הָֽרֹעִ֔ים וְאֶת־יְהוָ֖ה לֹ֣א דָרָ֑שׁוּ עַל־כֵּן֙ לֹ֣א הִשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ וְכָל־מַרְעִיתָ֖ם נָפֽוֹצָה׃ (ס)
װאָרום פֿאַרגרעבט זײַנען די פּאַסטוכער, און גאָט האָבן זײ ניט געזוכט; דרום האָב זײ ניט באַגליקט, און זײער גאַנצע סטאַדע איז צעשפּרײט געװאָרן.
