כִּ֣י עִ֤יר בְּצוּרָה֙ בָּדָ֔ד נָוֶ֕ה מְשֻׁלָּ֥ח וְנֶעֱזָ֖ב כַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר שָׁ֣ם יִרְעֶ֥ה עֵ֛גֶל וְשָׁ֥ם יִרְבָּ֖ץ וְכִלָּ֥ה סְעִפֶֽיהָ׃
װאָרום די באַפֿעסטיקטע שטאָט איז אַלײן, אַ װױנונג אַװעקגעװאָרפֿן און פֿאַרלאָזט װי אַ מדבר; דאָרט װעט זיך פֿיטערן אַ קאַלב, און דאָרט װעט עס הױערן, און פֿאַרלענדן אירע צװײַגן.
