וָאֹמְרָ֣ה לָהֶ֗ם אֲנַ֣חְנוּ קָ֠נִינוּ אֶת־אַחֵ֨ינוּ הַיְּהוּדִ֜ים הַנִּמְכָּרִ֤ים לַגּוֹיִם֙ כְּדֵ֣י בָ֔נוּ וְגַם־אַתֶּ֛ם תִּמְכְּר֥וּ אֶת־אֲחֵיכֶ֖ם וְנִמְכְּרוּ־לָ֑נוּ וַֽיַּחֲרִ֔ישׁוּ וְלֹ֥א מָצְא֖וּ דָּבָֽר׃ (ס)
און איך האָב צו זײ געזאָגט: מיר האָבן אױסגעקױפֿט אונדזערע ייִדישע ברידער װאָס זײַנען פֿאַרקױפֿט געװען צו גױיִם, װי װײַט מיר האָבן געקענט, און איר װילט גאָר פֿאַרקױפֿן אײַערע ברידער, און זײ זאָלן זיך פֿאַרקױפֿן צו אונדז? האָבן זײ געשװיגן און ניט געפֿונען קײן װערטער.
