בְּטֶ֨רֶם אצורך [אֶצָּרְךָ֤] בַבֶּ֙טֶן֙ יְדַעְתִּ֔יךָ וּבְטֶ֛רֶם תֵּצֵ֥א מֵרֶ֖חֶם הִקְדַּשְׁתִּ֑יךָ נָבִ֥יא לַגּוֹיִ֖ם נְתַתִּֽיךָ׃
אײדער איך האָב דיך אין מוטערלײַב געפֿורעמט, האָב איך דיר דערקענט, און אײדער דו ביסט פֿון טראַכט אַרױס, האָב איך דיך געהײליקט; אַ נבֿיא פֿאַר די פֿעלקער האָב איך דיך געמאַכט.
Mishneh Torah, Human Dispositions
He who follows such conduct will not only sanctify his soul, and live in a state of purity, and improve his ideas, but if he will father children they will be refined and modest, prepared for wisdom and piety; but he who follows the conduct of the rest of the people who walk in darkness will father children in their likeness.
