וְכָל־הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ בָּ֣אוּ מִצְרַ֔יְמָה לִשְׁבֹּ֖ר אֶל־יוֹסֵ֑ף כִּֽי־חָזַ֥ק הָרָעָ֖ב בְּכָל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
און פֿון דער גאַנצער ערד איז מען געקומען קײן מִצרַיִם צו יוֹספֿן קױפֿן תּבואה, װאָרום דער הונגער איז געװען שטאַרק אױף דער גאַנצער ערד.

R. Isaac said that the seven good kine symbolize the superior grades, and the seven lean and ill-favoured kine other and lower grades; the former of the side of holiness, and the latter of the side of defilement.
