וָאֽוֹצִיאֵ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וָאֲבִאֵ֖ם אֶל־הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃
און איך האָב זײ אַרױסגעצױגן פֿון לאַנד מצרַיִם, און האָב זײ געבראַכט אין דער מדבר.
Mekhilta DeRabbi Yishmael
And about Tyre it is written (Ibid. 26:3) "Behold, I (the L–rd) am against you, O Tyre, etc." And about Malchah it is written (Ibid. 28:10) You will die the death of the uncircumcised, etc." — whence we find that with what the nations of the world vaunted themselves punishment was exacted of them — wherefore it is written "for He is high on high."
