משנה אויף ויקרא 16:4

כְּתֹֽנֶת־בַּ֨ד קֹ֜דֶשׁ יִלְבָּ֗שׁ וּמִֽכְנְסֵי־בַד֮ יִהְי֣וּ עַל־בְּשָׂרוֹ֒ וּבְאַבְנֵ֥ט בַּד֙ יַחְגֹּ֔ר וּבְמִצְנֶ֥פֶת בַּ֖ד יִצְנֹ֑ף בִּגְדֵי־קֹ֣דֶשׁ הֵ֔ם וְרָחַ֥ץ בַּמַּ֛יִם אֶת־בְּשָׂר֖וֹ וּלְבֵשָֽׁם׃

אַ הײליק לײַנען העמדל זאָל ער אָנטאָן, און לײַנענע הױזן זאָלן זײַן אױף זײַן לײַב, און מיט אַ לײַנענעם גאַרטל זאָל ער זיך אַרומגורטן, און מיט אַ לײַנענער הױב זאָל ער זיך באַהױבן; הײליקע קלײדער זײַנען דאָס, און ער זאָל באָדן זײַן לײַב אין װאַסער, און זײ אָנטאָן.

Mishnah Yoma

They brought him to the Bet Haparvah, which was on holy ground. They spread a sheet of linen between him and the people. He sanctified his hands and his feet and stripped. Rabbi Meir says: he stripped [and then] sanctified his hands and his feet. He went down and immersed himself, came up and dried himself. Afterwards they brought him white garments. He put them on and sanctified his hands and his feet.
