וְנָתַתִּ֤י שָׁלוֹם֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ וּשְׁכַבְתֶּ֖ם וְאֵ֣ין מַחֲרִ֑יד וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֞י חַיָּ֤ה רָעָה֙ מִן־הָאָ֔רֶץ וְחֶ֖רֶב לֹא־תַעֲבֹ֥ר בְּאַרְצְכֶֽם׃
און איך װעל געבן שלום אין לאַנד, און איר װעט זיך לײגן, און קײנער װעט ניט שרעקן; און איך װעל אױסראָטן אַ בײזע חיה פֿון לאַנד, און אַ שװערד װעט ניט דורכגײן אין אײַער לאַנד.
Mishnah Ta'anit
For these they sound a blast in all places: for the drying up of crops (shidafon), for plant disease, for locusts, and for the hasil (a type of locust), for wild beasts and for the sword they sound a blast for these are plagues likely to spread.
