וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֞וּ אֶת־ק֨וֹל יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהִ֛ים מִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְ בַּגָּ֖ן לְר֣וּחַ הַיּ֑וֹם וַיִּתְחַבֵּ֨א הָֽאָדָ֜ם וְאִשְׁתּ֗וֹ מִפְּנֵי֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֔ים בְּת֖וֹךְ עֵ֥ץ הַגָּֽן׃
און זײ האָבן געהערט דעם קול פֿון גאָט דעם האַר, װי ער גײט אַרום אין גאָרטן אין דער קילקײט פֿון טאָג; און דער מענטש און זײַן װײַב האָבן זיך באַהאַלטן פֿאַר גאָט דעם האַר צװישן די בײמער פֿון גאָרטן.
Song of Songs
[G-d, to Israel in exile:] You, who sit in the gardens [i.e., who graze in the gardens of others and sit in the synagogues and the houses of study], [your] friends [(the ministering angels, "sons of G-d,” like you)], listen for your voice in the houses of prayer, and [only] afterwards sanctify the Name, viz. Job 38:7]; let Me hear [it].
