וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב מָרְדֳּכַ֔י אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח סְפָרִ֜ים אֶל־כָּל־הַיְּהוּדִ֗ים אֲשֶׁר֙ בְּכָל־מְדִינוֹת֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ הַקְּרוֹבִ֖ים וְהָרְחוֹקִֽים׃
און מרדכי האָט אױפֿגעשריבן די דאָזיקע זאַכן, און ער האָט געשיקט בריװ צו אַלע ייִדן װאָס אין אַלע מדינות פֿון מלך אַחַשוֵרוֹש, די נאָנטע און די װײַטע,
Megillah
But why not say that the villages [should read] on the fourteenth, and those in walled towns not at all? But are they not also Israelites? And moreover is it not written, From India into Ethiopia (Esther 1:1)?
