וְאִ֤ישׁ בְּרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ יְהָתֵ֔לּוּ וֶאֱמֶ֖ת לֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ לִמְּד֧וּ לְשׁוֹנָ֛ם דַּבֶּר־שֶׁ֖קֶר הַעֲוֵ֥ה נִלְאֽוּ׃
און אײנער דעם אַנדערן גענאַרן זײ, און אמת זאָגן זײ ניט; זײ האָבן אײַנגעװױנט זײער צונג זאָגן ליגן, זײ מאַטערן זיך צו פֿאַרברעכן.
Sukkah
R. Zera further said: One should not promise a child to give him something and then not give it to him, because he will thereby teach him lying, as it is said, “They have taught their tongues to speak lies” (Jeremiah 9:4).
