אֲפָפ֤וּנִי ׀ חֶבְלֵי־מָ֗וֶת וּמְצָרֵ֣י שְׁא֣וֹל מְצָא֑וּנִי צָרָ֖ה וְיָג֣וֹן אֶמְצָֽא׃
אַרומגערינגלט האָבן מיך די שטריק פֿון טױט, און אַנגסטן פֿון אונטערערד האָבן מיך געטראָפֿן;לײַד און קומער האָב איך געטראָפֿן.
Berakhot
R. Tanhum said : It may be derived from the following : "I will lift up the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord" (ibid. cxvi. 13) [and] "I found trouble and sorrow, but I called upon the name of the Lord" (ibid. vv. 3f).
