כִּ֤י יַבְעֶר־אִישׁ֙ שָׂדֶ֣ה אוֹ־כֶ֔רֶם וְשִׁלַּח֙ אֶת־בעירה [בְּעִיר֔וֹ] וּבִעֵ֖ר בִּשְׂדֵ֣ה אַחֵ֑ר מֵיטַ֥ב שָׂדֵ֛הוּ וּמֵיטַ֥ב כַּרְמ֖וֹ יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ (ס)
אַז אַ מאַן װעט לאָזן אָפּעסן אַ פֿעלד אָדער אַ װײַנגאָרטן, און װעט אַרױסלאָזן זײַן בהמה, און זי װעט אָפּעסן אין אַן אַנדערנס פֿעלד, זאָל ער מיט דעם בעסטן פֿון זײַן פֿעלד, און מיט דעם בעסטן פֿון זײַן װײַנגאָרטן באַצאָלן.
Exodus
If a fire goes out of control and finds [catches on] thorns, and then consumes bound or standing grain or a field, full restitution must be made by the one who started the fire.
