וַיַּכּ֤וּ הַיְּהוּדִים֙ בְּכָל־אֹ֣יְבֵיהֶ֔ם מַכַּת־חֶ֥רֶב וְהֶ֖רֶג וְאַבְדָ֑ן וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֥וּ בְשֹׂנְאֵיהֶ֖ם כִּרְצוֹנָֽם׃
און די ייִדן האָבן געשלאָגן צװישן אַלע זײערע פֿײַנט אַ שלאַק פֿון שװערד און טײטונג און פֿאַרטיליקונג, און זײ האָבן געטאָן מיט זײערע שָׂונאים לױט זײער װילן.

that the king authorized the Jews in every city to congregate and to defend their lives, to destroy, kill and annihilate the powers of any people or province that oppressed them [viz. 3:13], (even) young children and women, and to take their spoils.
