וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יַעֲקֹ֜ב אֶל־שִׁמְע֣וֹן וְאֶל־לֵוִי֮ עֲכַרְתֶּ֣ם אֹתִי֒ לְהַבְאִישֵׁ֙נִי֙ בְּיֹשֵׁ֣ב הָאָ֔רֶץ בַּֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י וּבַפְּרִזִּ֑י וַאֲנִי֙ מְתֵ֣י מִסְפָּ֔ר וְנֶאֶסְפ֤וּ עָלַי֙ וְהִכּ֔וּנִי וְנִשְׁמַדְתִּ֖י אֲנִ֥י וּבֵיתִֽי׃
האָט יעקב געזאָגט צו שמעונען און צו לֵוִין: איר האָט מיך פֿאַראומגליקט, מיך צו פֿאַרמיאוסן בײַ דעם באַװױנער פֿון לאַנד, בײַ דעם כּנַעַני און בײַ דעם פּרִזי; װאָרום איך בין אַ הײַפֿל מענטשן, און זײ װעלן זיך אױפֿקלײַבן אַקעגן מיר, און װעלן מיך שלאָגן, און איך און מײַן הױז װעלן פֿאַרטיליקט װערן.
