אֵ֞יךְ אֶתֶּנְךָ֣ אֶפְרַ֗יִם אֲמַגֶּנְךָ֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֵ֚יךְ אֶתֶּנְךָ֣ כְאַדְמָ֔ה אֲשִֽׂימְךָ֖ כִּצְבֹאיִ֑ם נֶהְפַּ֤ךְ עָלַי֙ לִבִּ֔י יַ֖חַד נִכְמְר֥וּ נִחוּמָֽי׃
װי קען איך דיך איבערגעבן, אפֿרים? דיך איבערענטפֿערן, ישׂראל? װי קען איך דיך מאַכן װי אַדמָה? דיך לאָזן װערן װי צבֹאים? מײַן האַרץ קערט זיך אום אין מיר, מײַן גאַנצע רחמנות צינדט זיך אָן.
Lamentations
See, O L-rd, that I am afflicted; my innards are shriveled. My heart is overturned in my midst, for I have deeply rebelled. Outside, the sword bereaved; inside [it was] like death.
