אַ֡ךְ בֶּעָשׂ֣וֹר לַחֹדֶשׁ֩ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֨י הַזֶּ֜ה י֧וֹם הַכִּפֻּרִ֣ים ה֗וּא מִֽקְרָא־קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶ֔ם וְעִנִּיתֶ֖ם אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑ם וְהִקְרַבְתֶּ֥ם אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהוָֽה׃
אָבער אין צענטן טאָג פֿון דעם דאָזיקן זיבעטן חוֹדש איז דער טאָג פֿון פֿאַרגעבונג; אַ הײליקע צונױפֿרופונג זאָל זײַן בײַ אײַך, און איר זאָלט פּײַניקן אײַער זעל, און ברענגען אַ פֿײַעראָפּפֿער צו גאָט.
Leviticus
It shall be for an everlasting statute for you; in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, you shall afflict yourselves and not do any work, the native-born and the proselyte residing among you.

On the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a sacred holiday to you, when you shall fast and not do any work.
