וְהָיָ֤ה עֶרְכְּךָ֙ הַזָּכָ֔ר מִבֶּן֙ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְעַ֖ד בֶּן־שִׁשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וְהָיָ֣ה עֶרְכְּךָ֗ חֲמִשִּׁ֛ים שֶׁ֥קֶל כֶּ֖סֶף בְּשֶׁ֥קֶל הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃
זאָל דײַן שאַצונג זײַן פֿאַר אַ זָכר פֿון צװאַנציק יאָר אַלט און ביז זעכציק יאָר אַלט – זאָל דײַן שאַצונג זײַן פֿופֿציק שֶקל זילבער, אױפֿן הײליקן שֶקל.
Exodus
Everyone passing by to be counted must give this—half a shekel based on the shekel of the Holy [Sanctuary,] where a shekel is twenty geirah. Half of such a shekel must be given as a terumah-offering to Adonoy.
