וְהָיָה֙ הַנִּלְכָּ֣ד בַּחֵ֔רֶם יִשָּׂרֵ֣ף בָּאֵ֔שׁ אֹת֖וֹ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־ל֑וֹ כִּ֤י עָבַר֙ אֶת־בְּרִ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה וְכִֽי־עָשָׂ֥ה נְבָלָ֖ה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
און עס װעט זײַן, דער װאָס װעט פֿאַרנומען װערן מיטן חרם, זאָל פֿאַרברענט װערן אין פֿײַער, ער און אַלץ װאָס געהערט צו אים; װײַל ער האָט איבערגעטרעטן דעם בונד פֿון גאָט, און װײַל ער האָט געטאָן אַ נבֿלה אין ישׂראל.
I Samuel
Shmuel then brought near, all the tribes of Yisroel, and the tribe of Binyomin was singled out.
Genesis
The sons of Yaakov returned from the field when they heard [what had happened]. The men grieved and were very angry, for he [Shechem] had committed an outrage against Yisrael to lie with a daughter of Yaakov. Such a thing should not be done.
