וּבִשְׂאֵ֣ת מַתְּנֹֽתֵיכֶ֡ם בְּֽהַעֲבִיר֩ בְּנֵיכֶ֨ם בָּאֵ֜שׁ אַתֶּם֩ נִטְמְאִ֤֨ים לְכָל־גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶם֙ עַד־הַיּ֔וֹם וַאֲנִ֛י אִדָּרֵ֥שׁ לָכֶ֖ם בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה אִם־אִדָּרֵ֖שׁ לָכֶֽם׃
און אַז איר ברענגט אײַערע אָפּפֿערגעשאַנקען, אַז איר מאַכט דורכגײן אײַערע קינדער דורכן פֿײַער, פֿאַראומרײניקט איר אײַך מיט אַלע אײַערע אָפּגעטער ביז אױף הײַנטיקן טאָג, און איך זאָל זיך לאָזן פֿרעגן פֿון אײַך, הױז פֿון ישׂראל? אַזױ װי איך לעב, זאָגט גאָט דער האַר, אױב איך װעל זיך לאָזן פֿרעגן פֿון אײַך!
Exodus
Adonoy said to Moshe, “Go in to Pharaoh for I have hardened his heart and [also] the hearts of his servants, so that I will be able to set [perform] these [miraculous] signs in their midst.
Ezekiel
Je les ai rendus impurs par leurs offrandes, en ce qu’ils faisaient passer [par le feu] tout premier-né, de manière à les terroriser, afin qu’ils connussent que je suis l’Éternel.
