וַיְהִ֣י ׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ לְאֵֽשֶׁת־שִׁמְשׁוֹן֙ פַּתִּ֣י אֶת־אִישֵׁ֗ךְ וְיַגֶּד־לָ֙נוּ֙ אֶת־הַ֣חִידָ֔ה פֶּן־נִשְׂרֹ֥ף אוֹתָ֛ךְ וְאֶת־בֵּ֥ית אָבִ֖יךְ בָּאֵ֑שׁ הַלְיָרְשֵׁ֕נוּ קְרָאתֶ֥ם לָ֖נוּ הֲלֹֽא׃
און עס איז געװען אױפֿן זיבעטען טאָג, האָבן זײ געזאָגט צו שמשונס װײַב: רעד איבער דײַן מאַן ער זאָל אונדז אױסזאָגן די רעטעניש, אַניט װעלן מיר פֿאַרברענען דיך און דײַן פֿאָטערס הױז מיט פֿײַער. האָט איר אונדז גערופֿן כּדי אונדז צו ירשען? צי נײן?

The Pelishtim exclaimed, "Who did this?" They replied, "Shimshon, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he took his wife and gave her to a friend." The Pelishtim went up and burned her and her father.

The Pelishtim nobles went up to her, and told her, "Seduce him, and ascertain where his enormous strength lies and how we may overcome him, so that we may tie him down and torture him; each of us will then give you eleven hundred pieces of silver."
