וַיֹּ֡אמֶר אִם־נָא֩ מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֤ן בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ אֲדֹנָ֔י יֵֽלֶךְ־נָ֥א אֲדֹנָ֖י בְּקִרְבֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֤י עַם־קְשֵׁה־עֹ֙רֶף֙ ה֔וּא וְסָלַחְתָּ֛ לַעֲוֺנֵ֥נוּ וּלְחַטָּאתֵ֖נוּ וּנְחַלְתָּֽנוּ׃
און ער האָט געזאָגט: אױב, איך בעט דיך, איך האָב געפֿונען לײַטזעליקײט אין דײַנע אױגן, גאָט, זאָל, איך בעט דיך, גאָט גײן צװישן אונדז, װאָרום אַ האַרטנעקיק פֿאָלק איז דאָס; און זאָלסט פֿאַרגעבן אונדזער זינד און אונדזער חטא, און אונדז מאַכן פֿאַר דײַן אַרב.
Targum Jonathan
And he said, If now I have found mercy before the Lord let the Shekinah of the Glory of the Lord go among us; for it is a people of hard neck; but pardon Thou our guilt and our sin, and give us the inheritance of the land which Thou didst covenant unto our fathers, and change us not to become an alien people.
