כִּ֣י עַ֤ם קָדוֹשׁ֙ אַתָּ֔ה לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ וּבְךָ֞ בָּחַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה לִֽהְי֥וֹת לוֹ֙ לְעַ֣ם סְגֻלָּ֔ה מִכֹּל֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָֽה׃ (ס)
װאָרום אַ הײליק פֿאָלק ביסטו בײַ ה׳ דײַן גאָט, און דיך האָט גאָט אױסדערװײלט אים צו זײַן פֿאַר אַן אײגן פֿאָלק, פֿון אַלע פֿעלקער װאָס אױפֿן געזיכט פֿון דער ערד.
Targum Jonathan
For you are to be a holy people before the Lord your God: the Lord your God hath chosen you to be a people more beloved than all the peoples who are upon the face of the earth.
