וּמִֽי־הָאִ֞ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־אֵרַ֤שׂ אִשָּׁה֙ וְלֹ֣א לְקָחָ֔הּ יֵלֵ֖ךְ וְיָשֹׁ֣ב לְבֵית֑וֹ פֶּן־יָמוּת֙ בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וְאִ֥ישׁ אַחֵ֖ר יִקָּחֶֽנָּה׃
אָדער איז װער עמיצער דאָ װאָס האָט פֿאַרקנַסט אַ װײַב, און האָט זי ניט גענומען? זאָל ער גײן און זיך אומקערן צו זײַן הײם, טאָמער שטאַרבט ער אין מלחמה, און אַן אַנדער מאַן װעט זי נעמען.
Targum Jonathan
And what man hath betrothed a wife, but not taken her? let him go and return to his house, lest sin prevent him from rejoicing with his wife and he be slain in the battle, and another take her.
