יָאִ֣יר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה לָקַח֙ אֶת־כָּל־חֶ֣בֶל אַרְגֹּ֔ב עַד־גְּב֥וּל הַגְּשׁוּרִ֖י וְהַמַּֽעֲכָתִ֑י וַיִּקְרָא֩ אֹתָ֨ם עַל־שְׁמ֤וֹ אֶת־הַבָּשָׁן֙ חַוֺּ֣ת יָאִ֔יר עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
יָאיר דער זון פֿון מנשה האָט גענומען די גאַנצע געגנט פֿון אַרגוֹבֿ ביז דעם געמאַרק פֿון דעם גשורי, און דעם מַעֲכָתי, און האָט זײ – בשָן – גערופֿן אױף זײַן נאָמען חַווֹת-יָאיר, װי ביז אױף הײַנטיקן טאָג.
