וַנֵּ֣שֶׁב בַּגָּ֔יְא מ֖וּל בֵּ֥ית פְּעֽוֹר׃ (פ)
און מיר זײַנען געבליבן אין טאָל אַקעגן בית-פּעוֹר.
Targum Jonathan
And we dwelt in the valley, weeping for our sins, because we had been joined with the worshippers of the idol of Peor.

And we dwelt in the valley weeping for our guilt, and confessing our sins, for that we had been joined with the worshippers of the idol of Baal Peor.
