כִּֽי־יִשְׁאָלְךָ֥ בִנְךָ֛ מָחָ֖ר לֵאמֹ֑ר מָ֣ה הָעֵדֹ֗ת וְהַֽחֻקִּים֙ וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּ֛ה יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ אֶתְכֶֽם׃
אַז דײַן זון װעט דיך שפּעטער אַהין פֿרעגן, אַזױ צו זאָגן: װאָס זײַנען דאָס פֿאַר אָנזאָגן און חוקים און געזעצן, װאָס ה׳ אונדזער גאָט האָט אײַך באַפֿױלן?
Targum Jonathan
When thy son, in time to come, shall ask thee, saying, What are the testimonies, statutes, and judgments which the Lord our God hath commanded you?
Tafsir Rasag
And if your son asks you in the future about the reasons behind the testimonies, statutes, and judgments that Allah, our Lord, has commanded you
