וְהָיְתָ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם לְחֻקַּ֣ת עוֹלָ֑ם בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַ֠שְּׁבִיעִי בֶּֽעָשׂ֨וֹר לַחֹ֜דֶשׁ תְּעַנּ֣וּ אֶת־נַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶ֗ם וְכָל־מְלָאכָה֙ לֹ֣א תַעֲשׂ֔וּ הָֽאֶזְרָ֔ח וְהַגֵּ֖ר הַגָּ֥ר בְּתוֹכְכֶֽם׃
און דאָס זאָל אײַך זײַן צום אײביקן געזעץ: אין זיבעטן חוֹדש, אין צענטן טאָג פֿון חוֹדש, זאָלט איר פּײַניקן אײַער זעל, און קײן אַרבעט זאָלט איר ניט טאָן, סײַ דער אײַנגעבאָרענער, און סײַ דער פֿרעמדער װאָס האַלט זיך אױף צװישן אײַך.
Targum Jonathan
And this shall be to you for an everlasting statute: in the seventh month, it is the month Tishri, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble your souls, (abstaining) from food, and from drinks, and from the use of the bath, and from rubbing, and from sandals, and from the practice of the bed: nor shall you do any work, neither the native-born nor the stranger who dwelleth among you.
