וְאָמַרְתָּ֞ כֹּה־אָמַ֨ר אֲדֹנָ֤י יְהוִה֙ לִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם מְכֹרֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ וּמֹ֣לְדֹתַ֔יִךְ מֵאֶ֖רֶץ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֑י אָבִ֥יךְ הָאֱמֹרִ֖י וְאִמֵּ֥ךְ חִתִּֽית׃
און זאָלסט זאָגן: אַזױ האָט געזאָגט גאָט דער האַר צו ירושלים:דײַן אָפּשטאַם און דײַן געבורטאיז פֿון לאַנד פֿון דעם כּנַעַני;דײַן פֿאָטער איז געװען דער אמורי, און דײַן מוטער פֿון חֵת.
Targum Jonathan
And say: Thus said the LORD God to the residents of Jerusalem: Your settlement and youth was from the land of the Canaanites; there I was revealed upon Abraham your father between the pieces, and I showed him that you would go down to Egypt, with a high hand I would liberate you, and by merit of your ancestors I would drive out from before you the Amorites and expelled the Hittites.
