וַיִּקַּ֞ח אֶת־הָעֵ֨גֶל אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשׂוּ֙ וַיִּשְׂרֹ֣ף בָּאֵ֔שׁ וַיִּטְחַ֖ן עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁר־דָּ֑ק וַיִּ֙זֶר֙ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י הַמַּ֔יִם וַיַּ֖שְׁקְ אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
און ער האָט גענומען דאָס קאַלב, װאָס זײ האָבן געמאַכט, און האָט פֿאַרברענט אין פֿײַער, און צעמאָלן ביז װאַנען עס איז געװאָרן דין, און האָט צעשאָטן אױפֿן װאַסער, און געגעבן טרינקען די קינדער פֿון ישׂראל.
Targum Jonathan
And he took the calf which they had made, and burned it in fire, and bruised it into powder, and cast (it) upon the face of the water of the stream, and made the sons of Israel drink; and whoever had given thereto any trinket of gold, the sign of it came forth upon his nostrils.
