הִשָּׁ֣מֶר לְךָ֗ פֶּן־תִּכְרֹ֤ת בְּרִית֙ לְיוֹשֵׁ֣ב הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתָּ֖ה בָּ֣א עָלֶ֑יהָ פֶּן־יִהְיֶ֥ה לְמוֹקֵ֖שׁ בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃
היט זיך, זאָלסט ניט שליסן אַ בונד דעם באַװוינער פֿון דעם לאַנד װאָס דו קומסט דערױף, כּדי ער זאָל ניט זײַן פֿאַר אַ שטרױכלונג צװישן דיר.
Targum Jonathan
Take heed to thee, lest thou strike covenants with the inhabitants of that land into which thou art to enter; that it may not be a stumbling-block unto thee.
