וּפֵרַ֤שׂ יָדָיו֙ בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר יְפָרֵ֥שׂ הַשֹּׂחֶ֖ה לִשְׂח֑וֹת וְהִשְׁפִּיל֙ גַּֽאֲוָת֔וֹ עִ֖ם אָרְבּ֥וֹת יָדָֽיו׃
Er wird seine Hände darin ausbreiten wollen, wie sie der Schimmer ausbreitet, um zu schwimmen [um sein sein Gebiet zu erweitern]; aber [Gott] beugt seinen Hochmut samt der Gelenkigkeit seiner Hände.

The place where He lays His hands to lie in wait. These are the high towers. אַשְׁוַת is an expression of walls and towers, as: (Jer. 50: 15) “Her walls fell (אָשְׁיוֹתֶיהָ).”
