נֹדִי֮ סָפַ֪רְתָּ֫ה אָ֥תָּה שִׂ֣ימָה דִמְעָתִ֣י בְנֹאדֶ֑ךָ הֲ֝לֹ֗א בְּסִפְרָתֶֽךָ׃
Meine Tränen zählest du, tue meine Tränen in deinen Schlauch; sie sind ja von dir gezählt!
Orchot Tzadikim
If a good and pious man dies he should feel anguish and weep for him, for the Holy One Blessed be He counts those tears, and gathers them into His treasure house as it said "Put Thou my tears in Thy bottle; Are they not in Thy book" (Ps. 56:9), (Shabbath 105b).
